Catalyst Faithworks Story & Vision
We saw a need for better, more effective communications for church capital campaigns...delivered through an easy and clear process!
Few organizations today have as much compelling good news to communicate as a growing church with a vision! Yet, many churches have little professional help to develop communication campaigns and materials that will galvanize a group of people to action. Businesses and political organizations use these materials every day. But churches and parachurch organizations, with important daily ministry responsibilities, struggle with the challenge of planning, producing, and implementing professional high-caliber capital campaigns. This level of campaign will be the first step in creating a long-lasting stewardship culture while helping to raise much needed capital to spread the Good News.

That’s where Catalyst Faithworks came in. Launched in 2001 by Stephen Lee, Catalyst Faithworks was an expansion of Lee’s noted Atlanta ad firm Catalyst Marketing Communications, which was rapidly becoming a leader in providing consulting in the area of high-level church branding and marketing and graphic design. Having been an elder and marketing consultant in a rapidly growing church multiplication movement in Atlanta, Stephen began to see an explosion of church capital campaigns as these churches began to need capital for land and building expansions. It was not long after that, while working with several of these churches and their contracted campaign consulting firms, that Stephen saw a huge need for providing better, more effective, faith-based capital campaign communications. He had a vision for an easier and more thorough approach to provide nonprofit capital campaign communications to churches everywhere using both web-based printed visuals and copy references that would guide church leaders to their envisioned end with very little guesswork...thus elevating and expediting the church capital campaign process and deliverables. This branded process to developing capital campaign design communications quickly became one of the industry standards.
This unique capital campaign development process and the corresponding campaign deliverables have helped churches across the country develop a culture of stewardship-centered living, demonstrate commitment, growth, and outreach, and help project an image of faith and community that church members will want to be a part of. Along with great consulting firms, in the last few years, Catalyst Faithworks has created stewardship and church capital campaign designs for approximately 175 churches and has helped churches of many different denominations and independent backgrounds raise more than $350 million for the Kingdom of God (major donor gifts were excluded from this total).
Our reference-based approach to developing your communications...puts you in the director’s chair... and in control of the outcome!
To help growing churches communicate their vision, Catalyst Faithworks has been driven for years to refine a proven process that puts "you and your church" in the center of all that is designed by providing up-front, visual references to help you see the end product. Our experience tells us that the biggest challenge you will face when working with any design person to develop your campaign communications is aligning their creative subjectivity with your desired end product. A disconnect often occurs between the designer’s creative translation of your directions and what you had actually envisioned. Wouldn’t it be more helpful to have up-front design and copy reference points to assist in articulating your envisioned end product? Catalyst Faithworks’ online visual references and print samples speak volumes for you where words alone often fall short. This customer-centered visual process gives you the assurance that we understand your direction, and ensures that the graphic design and copy translation develops into capital campaign materials that you feel good about.
From it’s inception, Atlanta-based Catalyst Faithworks built its capital campaign communications process around a library of more than 250+ Themed (Base) Designs (see icons above). With your direction, these campaign design themes can be easily customized into an extremely high quality communications campaign that fits the style of your congregation.
Catalyst Faithworks’ proven communications process extends even further to feature more than 144 Logo Samples (see icons above) to aid in creating your custom logo, and many Campaign Samples and Testimonials to view for overall direction. The Faithworks graphic design team can produce any size capital campaign package to suit your needs. They will deliver high-caliber design and printing of logos, campaign stationery, brochures, question and answer pamphlets, prayer reminders, financial goal overview sheets, commitment cards and giving envelopes, newsletters, direct mail cards, Web sites, congregational videos, interactive CDs and DVDs, special event materials, premium items, bulletin stuffers, and more for launching your best church capital campaign... to help you maximize your congregational pledges while catalyzing a growing, healthy, church stewardship culture.
We work with stewardship consultants, architects, and builders to provide capital campaign communications.
